Join Maestra Russell and Hispanic Mamas de Bridger with your child to learn how to cook typical latin foods while speaking Spanish and getting to know each other. Arroz con pollo, arroz con leche, frijoles y Horchata. This is a wonderful opportunity to practice Spanish and connect with your child in the kitchen with Bridger families and teachers. Think moms, dads, kids, grandparents, all are welcome and any combination is great. Kids may attend on their own, but they must be 9+ years old. Maestra Russell lived in Costa Rica for many many years and loves the Spanish culture and of course the food. Everyone will cook together - bring your apron and a cutting board! Leftovers will go home with participants - YUM!

Who needs OMSI when Bridger dads and scientists, Rick Hugo and Jeff Mooney will take your kid(s) on a SCIENCE ADVENTURE at school on Friday, April 22nd from 6-9pm! 15 students, guided by two real live scientists, will explore some amazing phenomena in the world around them. This educational and experiential event is bound to intrigue your budding scientist. Dinner is included too. Drop them off for the fun - could this mean date night too?!
IMPORTANT: Minimum age is 3rd grade and ALL participants should be mature enough to follow very specific direction and sit/listen/stand still for lengthy periods of time.
